1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering for and participating in Automateathon 2025, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not participate in the event.

2. Eligibility

  • Participants must be at least 18 years old or have parental consent
  • Students, professionals, and enthusiasts are welcome
  • Teams can have 1-4 members maximum
  • Participants must provide valid identification and contact information
  • Employees of organizing companies and their immediate family members are not eligible for prizes

3. Registration and Application

Registration is conducted through our official Devfolio page. The selection process includes:

  • Profile review based on GitHub and LinkedIn submissions
  • Skill assessment and past project evaluation
  • Idea pitching round for shortlisted candidates
  • Final selection for the 3-day hackathon in Bengaluru

Selected participants will be notified via email and must confirm attendance within 48 hours.

4. Event Rules and Guidelines

Project Requirements

  • Projects must focus on AI Agents, SEO Automation, or Local-First Autonomous Systems
  • All code must be original work created during the hackathon period
  • Use of existing libraries, frameworks, and APIs is permitted
  • Projects must be functional and demonstrable

Conduct Guidelines

  • Maintain professional and respectful behavior at all times
  • Follow the Code of Conduct and venue rules
  • No harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior
  • Respect intellectual property and confidentiality

5. Intellectual Property

Participants retain ownership of their intellectual property created during the hackathon, subject to the following:

  • Participants grant organizers a non-exclusive license to showcase projects for promotional purposes
  • Participants are responsible for ensuring their projects don't infringe on third-party rights
  • Open-source components must be properly attributed and licensed
  • Participants may be required to open-source their projects as part of the competition

6. Prizes and Awards

Total prize pool of ₹5,00,000 will be distributed among winners as announced. Prize conditions:

  • Prizes are subject to applicable taxes and regulations
  • Winners must provide valid tax identification and banking details
  • Prize distribution may take up to 60 days after the event
  • Organizers reserve the right to verify winner eligibility
  • Prizes are non-transferable and have no cash alternative

7. Judging and Evaluation

Projects will be evaluated based on:

  • Innovation and creativity
  • Technical implementation and functionality
  • Business viability and market potential
  • User experience and design
  • Presentation and demonstration quality

Judges' decisions are final and binding. Organizers reserve the right to disqualify projects that violate rules or fail to meet requirements.

8. Liability and Disclaimers

Participants acknowledge and agree that:

  • Participation is at their own risk and responsibility
  • Organizers are not liable for any loss, damage, or injury during the event
  • Technical issues, internet connectivity, or equipment failures are participant responsibility
  • Event schedule and format may change due to unforeseen circumstances
  • Organizers provide the event "as is" without warranties

9. Photography and Media

By participating, you consent to photography, videography, and recording during the event. Organizers may use these materials for promotional, educational, and marketing purposes without additional compensation. Participants may opt out by notifying organizers in writing.

10. Cancellation and Refunds

Since Automateathon 2025 is a free event, no refunds are applicable. However:

  • Organizers reserve the right to cancel or postpone the event due to circumstances beyond control
  • Participants will be notified of any changes via email and official channels
  • Alternative arrangements or rescheduling will be communicated promptly
  • Organizers are not liable for travel or accommodation costs in case of cancellation

11. Data Protection and Privacy

Personal data collected during registration and participation will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Participants consent to data processing for event management, communication, and future event notifications.

12. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from participation in Automateathon 2025 will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka.

14. Modifications
